The Houses of Extra Measures are MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) Specific Recovery Residences for men & women in recovery from opiate use disorder and other co-occurring conditions. We are not a shelter, personal care home or criminal justice halfway house.
Admission
- Primary diagnosis of opioid use disorder and enrolled in a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program or willingness to enroll in a MAT program before move-in date.
- Must have a current prescription for MAT and ability to pay for it. MAT meds are Suboxone, Methadone and Naltrexone.
- Typically, enrolled in an IOP program, preferably with a MAT component
- 18 Years of age or older
- Wait list priority given to Native Americans
- Genuine interest and commitment to recovery
- English or Spanish speaking
- Ability to self-care and self-manage non-MAT, non-controlled medication
- Ability to consent
- Participants must agree to sign HIPAA-compliant releases that allow UTHealth to monitor their participation in their MAT program
- Participants voluntarily agree to meetings with UTHealth staff for data collection purposes
